I just bought a used Kubota L35 & I'm thinking of buying a used York rake with scarifiers and blade. I'm trying to find out how wide a rake and blade combo an L35 can handle.
The tractor is 4 wheel drive, 35 horse power and fitted with tractor tread tires. The manual says it will handle a box blade at 72 inches and 400lbs but it doesn't list a rake capacity. I'll be using the rake and blade for maintaining gravel and crushed stone driveways and parking lots.
I'm thinking a box blade will pull harder than a back blade & rake. I'm thinking the tractor will handle a rake and blade combo of 7 to 8 feet. Any thoughts?
I've found a few York rake Pro models listed at 8 feet and I've asked for additional information regarding weight but no return info yet. Yorks' web page doesn't list the Pro model. Any of you used a Pro model and any thoughts on the ability of the L35 to handle it.
