Comparison John Deere 750/850 vs. Yanmar 1610D 1820D eg.

Hello all, i have a simple but not an easy question:

is there somewhere out someone who compared the John Deere 750/850 with the Yanmars the same size?
I ask, because I want to register my Yanmar in Germany, and that is not that easy. I think the JD 750/850 has been also sold in germany. They look very equal to my yanmar (some little differences: JD 6bolt front Yanmar 4 bolt) and as i know they were also build at Yanmar in Japan.
Maybe there is someone here in the forum who was concerned with that?!

What does register your tractor in Germany mean? I have a friend that has a JD 855. I beleive other than the engine a yanmar 3 cyl that the tractor is a JD built unit some of which are made here in Agusta GA. Cant help on that. Here in SC in the USA we do not pay taxes on tractors other than at the purchase of a new one (sales tax) you do not tag or title one. The government does not even know you have the thing, and its good that way. HOpe that will never change they will start wanting to tax the darn thing and put a sticer on it every year like my boat.

I'm not sure EXACTLY what you are asking. but even though all, (at least the 3TXX engines), were built by Yanmar there are very few parts similarities, only similar horse power, weight, length, etc.

In Germany, you must register everything.

If i want to drive legal on a street i need a title an a german TUeV ( means Technical Inspection Authority ) and here it begins:

The tractor has never been registrated in germany or in europe, in this case is a 30 Year old tractor for the european government a new tractor and has to met the EPA(European emission law) from 2006.
I think it is no problem to fullfill the emission for this little engine, but it costs about 2000$ to test it at the TUeV (Technical Inspection Authority ).

And now here comes my solution for this: If I can circumstantiate that the tractor has been registered somewhere on earth with some papers with technical data(equal if the papers are Japanese or what) they will prove the yanmar and i can get a title.
The technical data i need :
gross axle weight rating front
gross axle weight rating rear
dimensions: lenght, width, height weight eg.
Horsepower, (It is on a plate on the engine)
and then i have to change to European Standard Lights an so on.....


Here are some companys in germany which are offer this service, with TUeV but they are most about 800 kilometers (500 mls) from my home and want to have about 1000Euro(about 1300$) for the service

I bought a KTM motorcycle this spring from a German guy who is working at the NATO is Brussels. This bike was build for the German market and i had German certificate of conformity but had an NATO Registration. So i nearly had a problem to get a registration although i had all necessary papers because of the emission law has changed 3 Years ago.

thanks, but the engine is the smallest problem. On the Yanmar engine everything is on the engine plate:
Horsepower; displacement; revs;

But Brake calculation and such things are very difficult to find out. (How much can you haul, how heavy can be the attachments so you do not overload your rear axle? )

You are not likely to find that info on a gray market tractor, or whatever they are called in Germany. I doubt they were even registered in Japan. Here is about all the data that is available.
You might research those JD models of similar size and HP, and see if there is any data that you are looking for, but I doubt that anyone in the US would have had reason to do so.
