I have a Ford 4600 SU that I will be replacing the fuel injectors on. Are there anythings I should know ahead of time? Are the injector lines pressurized when the tractor is off? Is it better to replace one injector at a time, then start the tractor?

Thanks in advance,

Marty

I had all three injectors removed from my Ford 1210 so I could take them to a bud's garage to be checked. Just the normal stuff - don't twist or kink lines, common sense items. I marked them "1,2,3" just in case. Didn't think it should make a difference, but also didn't want to tempt fate. The 1210 has a bleed screw to rid the system of air.

The tractor hadn't been running quite right, but the injectors were OK. Problem went away after I removed the fuel tank and flushed it well.

I'm sure one of the real mechanics here will add vital info you can use............chim
