Tractor
2008 Kubota M7040 4WD w/loader, 1979? Mitsubishi D2600 4WD w/loader
As near as I can figure our M7040 weighs between 7500 and 8500 pounds but I wondered if anyone had weighed their M7040 (or 5040 or 6040) or had a more accutare weight for it.

specs
M7040, open station, Hydraulic Shuttle, 4WD, loader, and cast rears.

Tractor = 4800
Cast rears = 650 to 700 each = 1300 to 1400
Loader = between 1200 and 2000?

I own a M7040SUD. That model weighs just over 4600 stock. I believe your model is similar. According to my manual, the cast rears weigh 350 a piece, for a total of 700. The loader (1153) weighs around 2000, with bucket. So, total is 7300. Never actually had it weighed though.

I just check and you are right, it weighs 4800 pounds (the hydraulic shuttle is about 200 pounds more than the dry cluch like you have). I read on here the cast rears were 650 to 700 but have no way to check so I don't know. I will see if I can find the tread. Thanks for the weigh on the loader, I had no idea what it weighed.

I found it here. It is a tread you started and Ford tractor is the one who said the were 650 per side.

I just got the manual and it list the cast rears as 700 each (I had forgot it listed weights for cast rears). Wheel weights are listed at 320 so maybe that is what you saw?

While I had it out I looked at the loader manual and it lists the loader at ~1550 and the bucket at 210 so ~1800lbs plus dirt and whatnot.

I guess I just need someone to prompt me to get the manuals out.:D

So now it looks like
Tractor = 4800
cast rears = 1400
loader = 1800

Total = 8000 pounds.

Thanks, Ed

I checked my manual again. It lists the cast rears as 158kg x 2 pieces, with 700lbs in parentheses, presumably as the total. 158 kg is about 350 lbs. Since the cast wheels are not two pieces, I'm assuming it's 700lbs total. I'd be surprised if going with the cast rear wheel option added 1400lbs to a 4600lb tractor. Seems like a lot of weight.

For the loader (1153), the tractor lists the loader net weight at 1543lbs and the bucket as 463lbs, for a total of just over 2000lbs.

You're right:eek: The 700 has to be the total with each one being 158kg. The 210 I saw for the bucket is kg, the weight in pounds is 463 like you said.

Lets try this again
Tractor = 4800 lbs
Cast rears = 700 lbs
Loader = 2000 lbs

Total = 7500 lbs + whatever rear attachment you have on.

I guess I should not do this kind of stuff when I am tired.:D
Thanks for getting that all straightend out for me.
