Guys -

I need help with my CC 3000 weed eater and didn't see an 'appropriate' forum on TBN can anyone point me to a good place to get some tech support?

FWIW the spindle is no longer spinning and I'm trying to figure out why...

Thanks Much!

The first place I check on a trimmer is the drive shaft. It's a metal cable that runs thru the boom from the clutch to the gearbox. I've had them break off on one end before. Item 13 on the diagram below.

If that's ok then check that the spindle turns when you turn the drive shaft to make sure the gearbox isn't stripped. After that check the clutch, it will be in the housing that the boom attaches to and is just like a chainsaw clutch.

Still working on this...

Replaced clutch after a more knowledgeable person looked it over. Symptom has not improved - still works intermittently. Drive shaft was relived; looks good and everything it is attached to spins. Is there a way to adjust the clutch? My guess is that for whatever reason it is only making contact part of the time. From what I can tell visually these clutches work using centrifugal force and counter force?
