Not sure if I'm posting in the right place. If this is suppose to go in the lawn and garden, mods please move it. Anyway I ran across a 2010 ZD331 with a 60" cut and 65 hours. Owner is asking $10,200 for it. I have not seen it yet just talked to him on the phone. Does this sound like a good deal. I priced brand new ones and they are $13,300 but I think you get a $300 rebate which brings it down to $13,000, and if you pay cash there is another $500 discount, now $12,500.

Don't forget the factory finance incentives. That also affects the near-new equipment prices. Zero turn mowers seem to depreciate faster than tractors. I think that's pretty close but maybe $5-800 high. I have the same machine with the 72" deck and my dealer told me (when I was recently looking at the F series mowers) that I should expect to get less than $10k in a private sale. Trade in would have been about 8500. ...so I still have mine. It's a great machine.

There's a good chance that I can get for a little under $10k but then I have to allow about $300 to pick it up because he is about 500 miles from me. I looked around ebay and craigslist and it seems that the same mower is running close to $10k but they are 08 and 09 models with 400-500 hours.

As long as they can verify the 50-hour service was done, you're satisfied with the cosmetic condition, and you can get this closer to $9,500 - this sounds fair.

I don't think the 50 hour service has been done. Any idea what that would cost?
