got a new battery,worked good one day-tried to crank the next day-nothing! the old battery showed only 10 volts,so i replaced it.Now i'm back to square one-what could be wrong?Help

Roller58, is your tractor diesel or gas ?
I can post the electric schematic diagram for you so you can troubleshoot...

mine is diesel-this problem is an long problem-i think there has to be a short somewhere or a starter? when i jump-off tractor works fine-when i stop and start-it will. if it sets overnite-i have to jum again!

OK I scanned 2 diagrams... but my scanner couldn't get the whole thing on one page, so you'll have to put them together or whatever.
schem1 & schem2 are the actual wiring diagram.
chart1 & chart2 are more a pictoral representation of the wiring.
you'll see that the plus side of the battery is connected to various things (starter, alternator, electronics module) even with the key in the off position. You'll have to figure out if any of those could be a problem, or possibly the keyswitch is bad, or you've got a wiring short.
