my jd180 will run for about half an hour, then it wants to quit, like it is
starving for fuel. moving the throttle up and down will just get it to the barn.
i have replaced the following, gas cap, fuel pump, cleaned carb, new ignitor,
new coil,new plug,new fuel filter.
i dont know what else to do.
thanks for any help

Could be some type of fuel filter/fuel line/fuel strainer or fuel shut off valve problem. I had a '76 Dodge Powerwagon with dual fuel tanks, and the frame mounted tank selector solenoid finally went bad with the valve stuck half way between where it was supposed to be. Truck would start up, run great for about a mile, then die. Wait ten minutes, and she was good to go again... Might try blowing out everything from the tank to the carb, could have some rusty crud in a line somewhere.... I also had an 20hp Onan in a JD 420 garden tractor quit like that, and it turned out that that the ignition module behind the flywheel would heat up and quit. Let it sit, and she was good to go for a while, too. Good luck, Jerry... :)

You shouldn't have started a new thread. There were probably people in the JD forum waiting to help you if the coil didn't work.
