Well, I finally have a problem with my TD5030. The 4WD is not disengaging when I move the control rod to the 2WD position. I have tried moving the tractor forward and reverse direction, still no release. I crawled under the tractor and checked out the linkage. I was hoping to find a missing pin or key for an easy fix but no luck. Anybody have any ideas? Tractor has 12x12 mechanical transmission.

I guess that I should post a follow-up in case someone else has this problem. I figured out that when it does not come out of 4wd I can push down on the control rod while easing out on the clutch (with reverse selected) and the control rod will move down a little farther and release. Most of the time it works the way it is suppose to.

Lots of us have to move the machine a bit, or reverse it, to disengage 4wd. No biggie.
