Have just aquired a Tipping Trailer. There is one port on the trailers Hydraulic Ram

My tractor has a hydraulic level adjuster cylinder on one of the rear linkage arms.
I want to remove this cylinder and use the hydraulics for the trailer BUT this cylinder has two ports connected to two ports on the tractor, I assume one pumps oil to move the cylinder up and the other to pump it down?

How do I go about connecting the tipping trailer to the tractor, do I block off one of the ports on the tractor and if so which one.

Your help and advice very much appreciated

Andy

If the trailer has a SA cyl, and you have only one hose from the trailer, and the end is a QD, just plug the hose with the QD into either of the work ports on the valve. .

When you shift the lever, the trailer will lift, and when you shift the lever the other way, the trailer cyl will retract. The relief will probably sound, but only for the time it takes the trailer cyl to retract.

If the spool should have float on it, use the float to lower the trailer.

Just plug the unused work port.
