Originally started to look at the BX25D with backhoe and loader, and a JD 1025R with backhoe and loader... then thought about going bigger to the JD 2 series, the 2520R (but they are phasing those out) replacing it with 2025R. So the dilemma is try to find a 2520 or wait a month and get the new model 2025. Both est around same price with implements......Trading in a 2005 Cub Cadet 6284... Any thoughts??

Yes the Kubota and JD 1 series is smaller than what I have now...They were my first look, but now looking at next size up... I plan on doing some drain tile, smaller pine & poplar stumps,clean drain ditch besides driveways, under ground water line repair at shop, post holes ...
Out of the 2 sub compacts you mentioned I would go with the BX hands downs. The BX has a cat 1 3PH. The 1 series is limited cat 1 so it does not pick up as high. You can curl and raise the loader on the BX, you can't on the 1 series. The BX also has a curved boom loader for better visibility. The BX has way more power than a 1 series even though they are rated the same. The 1 series has a goofy setup on the 3PH. They all come with a tarp strap to keep the lift arm from rubbing the tire when you don't have a implement on it.
If you want something bigger I would also look at a B2620. It has a 3 range hydro. The 2025 is 2.
