yanmar 1802
Iam looking to prep for my garden for next year and there are roots. I have a yanmar 1802 and it isnt by any means a power house. What would be my best implement to break up the roots with out breaking alot of teeth?

What kind and size of roots are you trying to cut up? Tree?

For your tractor, a nice heavy 12 or 14 inch moldboard plow. And not a Brinly, they are for garden tractors.

My Massey does well with a potato plow with a narrow cultivator tooth on it. (25 hp 4x4) Pulled it 12 to 14 in deep.

Is your tractor a 2WD? I didn't see the D after 1802. That would determine how much plow you can pull. What kind of plows do you have to choose from? Or do you plan to buy a new one?

I use my tiller to cut fire breaks around my longleaf pines. You just have to stop every so often and pull all the roots out of the tines. But then pine roots are limber. If it is roots from big oaks, it would be different.
