Hi:
Does anyone know what the weight is of the 430 loader and 47 backhoe? I couldn't find it in the 430 loader manual. My backhoe is actually a Woods 750 but it looks pretty similar to a 47. I need this info to select a trailer. The tractor is a 4310.
Thanks,
Mike

I don't know exactly but your near 4500lbs ~4700 max.
I would still go for a 10K trailer minimum length of 18'.

430 loader is 772 lbs without the bucket.
I have a 4N1 bucket which weighs about 330 lbs, but a "standard" bucket should be a lot less than that.

Not sure about the 47BH, but my 48BH is 1517 lbs. So I would estimate the 47BH to be in the range of 1300 lbs. Trailers don't come in that "granular" of sizes, so I doubt a few hundred lbs will make a difference either way in terms of trailer size requirements. Better to err on the side of too hefty of a trailer.

Thanks for the replies - it looks like I'll need to go for the 10K trailer, especially since I'm going to load the tires. I also have the 4N1 bucket.

Make sure you get electric brakes. I think an issue will be the length as well, depending on what you plan to haul. The overhang. There are a number of posts on trailers (maybe do a search) where the issue of ramps, etc. are also discussed.

I would want brakes on both axels as well. In this state it is required for a load that heavy. In most states it is optional I believe.

Mike,
The operating weight of a 47 Backhoe with standard 9" bucket and subframe is 1047 lbs. The shipping weight of a 430 loader is 789 lbs.
