I stripped a bearing on our tiller. I was able to take it apart and thought I would be able to put it back together without too much trouble. However, the housing will not fit back together, there is a gap. On one side there is a bearing and two spacers. You can tell that they are in the correct place on how they have worn. On the other side there is just the bearing. I have attached pictures. Any ideas how to put this back together?

Not trying to be a smart aleck, but if you leave it out in the rain anymore and don't dry it off, it's not going to be worth putting back together.

Incorrect bearings is my guess. From the picture I think the bearings you have are taller than the original. I assume you compared before install? Did you replace the sleeve as well?
