What kind of tractor is this????

This is a pic or 2 of a tractor that my neighbor...she is not living there anymore and i have run of the place..(she's 85) and this is in the falling down garage!! It is a Farmall A, minus rear fenders. The back tires are set wide. This series of tractors was made in various versions(A, Superr-A, 100, 130, 140) from '39 through the late 70's.

There should be a serial number tag on the seat supports. That info could be used to tell exact model and year.

They are great tractors!

Polecat, here's a photo of mine with the decals. If you get the Serial Number RobertN mentioned we can get the year model. I guess the worth to be about 2k - running, with extras, I figure that's what I sell mine for anyway.

The tag should be on the left seat frame, towards the inside. I do not see it in the pictures...

Mine has it, and indicates model as an A, and also has serial number FAA46241 which puts it in late production of 1941.

If you can not find the serial tag, we can point towards some numbers on the block, head, torque tube ect that would dive indications of casting dates. That would also give a good estimate of year of build.

I wouldn't want to sell mine! It is a pretty cool old tractor..
