Here is the website for the new Case DX series, which are red quasi-clones of part of the New Holland TC series:

http://www.casecorp.com/agricultural/newequip/tractors/dx/index.html

I say "part" because the DX's do not have an 18 or 21; they start at 25. I say "quasi" because I note at least one significant difference: the DX45 offers a mid-PTO whereas the TC45 does not.

Also, I see no references to Supersteer.

Case IH chose not to take on the Class I compacts. Frankly ,I am not impressed with them either. Supersteer technology will not be offered in the CaseIH line at any HP level; New Holland will have it exclusively, or so the spin goes. On the Mid PTO on the '45, that is interesting..... Bet if they sell any quantity of CaseIH DX45's with mid pto, New Holland will have it quickly.

Ok, I know this is a cold thread, but does anyone know if the Case 'clones' are cheaper than the New Hollands. I am sure they are great machines, but I think I would have a harder time reselling one if I had to. The Case dealer near me sells Case farm tractors and equipment but not Case compact tractors. Strangely enough he sells New Holland TC's but no other NH tractors.

I can you let you know later today. I just received prices from a local Case dealer on the DX's, but I haven't had the chance to compare them. In fact, my NH prices are probably out of date since I got them last November /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. After just glancing at them, my impression is that the Case prices may be a little higher. I'll post what I have later.

Garry, I know what you mean about out of date prices. I got prices on New Holland TC's in November. They are now quoting me prices $875 higher. AAAGGHHHH!!!!!

Well, hopefully these DX prices are reasonably accurate - for now /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. These prices are from a dealer nearby (southern Wisconsin). I'll give you the list price and then in paranthesis I'll give you what the dealer wants for the "cash" price;

D25 $11,800 ($10,266)
D25(FWA) $13,051 ($11,354)
DX25(FWA) $15,551 ($13,529)

D29 $12,577 ($10,941)
D29(FWA) $13,859 ($12,057)
DX29(FWA) $16,320 ($14,198)

D33 $13,346 ($11,611)
D33(FWA) $14,628 ($12,726)
DX33(FWA) $17,089 ($14,867)

D35 $12,291 ($10,693)
D35(FWA) $15,737 ($13,691)
DX35(FWA) $17,999 ($15,659)

D40 $13,893 ($12,086)
D40(FWA) $17,340 ($15,085)
DX40(FWA) $19,601 ($17,052)

D45 $16,399 ($14,267)
D45(FWA) $19,391 ($16,870)
DX45(FWA) $21,781 ($18,949)

The 29's through the 33's take the L130 FEL, which is listed at $3,488 ($3,034). The 35's through the 45's take the L160 FEL which lists at $4,341 ($3,776).

I've got other Case attachment prices if anybody is interested. These prices are from Carter & Gruenewald Co. in Brooklyn, Wisconsin. Sorry, I don't have the link to their website, but you can get it by going through Case's dealer locator.

I can't even compare prices to NH, cause all my brochures that I had mysteriously got "recycled", so I guess I'll just have to pay another visit to the dealer /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif. Breaks my heart /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

Hope this info. helps. I haven't even visited this Case dealer yet. He's about a 30 minute drive, so I will definitely get over there to talk.

I have been talking to Case dealers as well as NH, looking at the TC35D
and DX35. My experience is the Case dealers did not know the DX tractors very
well, I seemed to know about them than they did, maybe it's because it is a new line
for them. I also sent an e-mail through the Case web site, and asked a couple of
questions, they did not answer my questions. I sent another e-mail and someone
called me and left a message on my answering machine, they failed to leave a
number to call them, and never called back. Along with all of this, I got prices
from 4 case dealers, all of which were higher than NH. I have now concluded that if
I am that attached to Red, I will paint a NH.

Garry, based on the numbers you provided it seems that the Case DX33 with loader is priced about the same as the New Holland. The nearest Case dealer that actually sells the compacts is two hours away. I sure like the red color and the graphics but I guess it would not be prudent to buy a machine when service and parts are so far away. Thanks for your help.
