Those pictures come from the website of a company that makes the attachments that allow the backhoe to climb onto the train & empty the cars. Despite opinions of the uninformed this is neither dangerous or stupid. Once on top it travels from car to car loosening the material so it will flow thru the hopper chutes.

I did the same thing with a 416b backhoe probably 10 years ago. We needed to take a section of floor out in a warehouse and the only way to get in was through a dock door. It went in the exact same way. That is a very experienced operator right there.

What a thrill it must be riding the TLB from ground level upto the top of a train car. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif That might be a "10" on the pucker factor.
