Early 1949 Ford 8N
14-67 Dearborn Sickle Bar Mower
Manufactured in 1954.
I need parts 24, 25, and 26 in this picture.
They each go on part 22 in the picture.
Are these parts available or a reasonable substitute.

Thanks. Pooh Bear

try ntractorclub.com or ytmag.com I'm sure people on those sites will either have the parts, or know where to get them. You could also try contacting sweettractors, the person/company who posts on here, looks like they might have, or might be able to get, the parts too.

Looks to me like you need a race, tapered bearing, and seal. Take the parts to any local bearing store and they should be able to match them up without problem.

I agree.. with the old bearing in hand.. you can get a match for it.. and a new cup.. seal just needs thickness, ID and OD..

These should all be able to be had at a good bearing shop..

There is a good bearing shop over in Chattanooga. Dixie Bearings.
I have gotten a few things from them in the past.
These look like standard off the shelf items.
Guess I will just take the assembly over to them and see what they say.

There is also the possibility that if I soak this in oil long enough
the bearings mite free up. Took the grease cup off and it was full of mud.
The bearing were full of this orange gunk. And it was frozen good.
I sprayed it with Engine Gunk and the nut came right off.
Had to use a flywheel puller to get the rest of the assembly off.
Maybe I can get the old bearings out and maybe not.
Hope soaking it does a lot of good.

Thanks.

If you have to repalce the cups.. and they won't snatch out.. weld them out.

I'm kinda at a loss as to how to pull the bearings and seals out.
Normally you take an assembly like that apart and the bearings just fall out.
But these are frozen in there. Hate to beat on them with a hammer.
Went out today and sprayed the bearings with liquid wrench.
Maybe if I do that a few times a day for a few days it will come apart.

Can't wait to inspect the other bearings and see what kinda shape they are in.
At least they are not frozen. But probably need cleaned and repacked with grease.

Cups can be welded out, and bearings can be split if needed to get them off shafts if they are seized.. etc.

I fthe bearings are stuck inthe bore. Hmm.. I'd see if i could drive them out fromt he other side..
