What hp is your tractor, I have a 23hp BX but I think that beast might be too much for me also.

I'd think that a four foot would do fine! A hydro would have helped as well!

I run a 60" on a gear drive 20 HP no problem.
Technique and low speed is your friend.
Some times I only blow 1/2 the blower width and when 4" or less full width, rarely in high range.
