John Deere 455 for sale.

I have a John deere 455 with about 800 hours. It is a 1999 or 2000 model I believe and it runs great and their are some small cosmetic defects but overall a pretty good looking machine. I would like $5300 for the tractor along with the 60 inch deck. I have an old John Deere 400 54 inch snow blade that I have modified to fit the front of the tractor and I also made push box ends for it. I have a set of wheel weights for it also and a suitcase weight bracket for the back of the tractor for the John Deere 42 lb weights but no weights will go with it. Plow - $400. Wheel weights - $175. Weight bracket - $75. I would accept $5900 for the tractor, deck, wheel weights, plow and rear weight bracket. I will try to post pictures soon, but I live in the champaign area in illinois. But I am looking to sell this tractor before spring and sooner is better, I am downsizing mowers because I don't mow as much as I used to. Thank you and let me know if you are interested.

The rear weights and bracket are not for sale, I have a different bracket that is listed. The rear hydraulic outlets are not going with the mower either. Other then that their is a small spot on the right foot rest where it is rusty and the paint has come off. The tractor runs great, I don't want to sell it but it isn't good for it to sit. I have an extra set.of deck bearings and a fan belt. I have a used fuel filter housing for it also. I have a used set of objectors for it also. I also have a John deere 425 the same year as this tractor and I am going to sell one or the other. The 425 has a 54 inch deck and a 20 horse gas engine, it runs great and has about 850 hours on it.

Nice tractor. But, I think your price is about $1000 high and that's why it hasn't sold.

Just FYI...I had a 99 455 with just over 700 hours, 60 inch deck and no other accessories. Nice machine that was well maintained and looked great as yours does.

Sold it for $4500 which I felt was a good deal for both me and the buyer. (I originally priced it at $4800) You may disagree with my price, but I sold mine the second day it was advertised. I based pricing mine on info from the local JD dealership. Seemed that they were accurate in their pricing for me. YMMV.

I would suggest a quick check with a dealer in your area and go from there as prices vary across the country.

Check pricing nationwide on all of Craigslist via searchtempest.com You'll have to configure the site a bit but it'll give you the best idea of what others are asking.

I just assumed someone would want to bargain a bit if I put my lowest price you don't think your getting a deal, so I was hoping to end on the tractor at 4700 or so and with everything around 5000. I don't need a diesel anymore so I would like to keep the 425 with the 54 deck.

I watch these all the time looking to maybe upgrade my 425 to a cherry 455 if the situation were right. I think a fair price with no 3ph, no rear pto, no AWS would be around $4500 for everything. Price it there. Hold your price, and it will move.
