Looks like the home will have a pretty big footprint. That is a lot of excavating for the basement. What is that ... about 60' wide across or so?
What did you do with all that red dirt?

Rob,
The house alone is 56'x36'. The dirt is still there. I will use some for fill and some to level a pad beside the garage. I will need some of it where my other road goes to the river bottom to help even it out. At first I thought about giving most of it away since a lot of people were asking for it. But when I started looking around I found several places I could use it. If I have any left over I'll have no problem getting rid of it. David |

David,
Not only that, it looks like you have plenty of places to hide what you don't need anyway. It will also come in handy for future projects, I'm sure. I don't throw away any of my dirt. But I do move it a lot ... from one pile and then back again. ![]()

Rob,
My wife asked me what I was going to do with all that dirt. I told her I was going to dig a hole and bury it .Last edited by hunterridgefarm; 08-31-2007 at 11:53 AM. |
