Middle buster
Is it possible to use a middle buster to open a trench maybe 12-15 inches deep. I want to bury a fence line to keep wood chucks out. Soil is 6 inches of sediment moving to clay but not hard. It worked pretty well when I was a kid but I am not digging trenches by hand. I have a back hoe but the 24 " bucket is too big . I have a 12 but the dirt does not clear it. At least not the last time I used it for a 30" deep trench. Want to fence a couple of acres.

Re: Middle buster
That's what I just did to bury 1000 feet of irrigation pipe. I took all but one middlebuster plow off my toobar, I left the middle one, and dug a nice straight trench right across the pasture. It took two passes but I got it down to 20 inches without a problem, then used the scraper blade to cover it up once I was done with the pipe.
I'm a West Texas rancher trying to make it look like home back in Tennessee. It's getting there.
