You guys are driving me nuts- yet another 'building-a-house-in-SC' guy. SOMEday I'll be posting my own story on here! Looking good so far, jonbravado!

You wouldn't be talking about me, now would you?!? HA!!!

jonbravado - Central! Wow! We are just over in Seneca, building out towards Fair Play. Good luck, again, on your job. Maybe we could hook up for a cup o' joe some morning and compare notes! Feel free to email or PM anytime!

Meanwhile, when I'm on to update my house, I'll be sure to follow your progress!

Michael

Dummy me....I didn't even realize Central was a town....I just thought you were impleying the middle of the state somewhere. You aren't but a quick drive from us here in Travelers Rest either.

And Michael....I'm disappointed. Can't believe you're going to have a cup a joe with another man. Where did I go wrong.

(the above is sarcasm....a hard emotion to pull off on the internet)

Jon, when you say "ready to move out to the country". Where are you coming from? I'm sure most of us know exactly how you feel. I was in the Greenville suburbia, and never imagined how liberating coming to the country would be. I drive through town and look at all those quarter acre lots and it looks like a prison sentance to me now. I could not imagine ever going back. That thought alone motivates me on our longer drive to town when necessary.

I'll be looking for the new photos.

Hey guys -

when i said central, i actually meant 'near columbia' - i live in downtown now and am moving about 20 miles southwest of columbia (the property) - i had a sneaky feeling that there probably was a town called central

It's nice to see so many folks on here from the southeast - i love SC, there's plenty to do outdoors and i am not THAT far from civilization and still have some privacy out there.

Posts soon.

Oops! My mistake!! Oh well, so much for there being another Upstater on here!

No matter - still will be watching progress!

And Tony - You KNOW I'm saving that first cup for you! Um, ok... that sounded weird... um.... SOMEBODY CHANGE THE SUBJECT QUICK!!

Hey guys -

we finally got the footings poured - i'll have more pics soon of some tractor work we did last weekend. I figure i have about 20 hours worth of boxblade work in my near future - cutting a driveway and flattening the backyard.

Here's a pic or four of the footings. More to come.
