Default Dumping trash barrels

We burn our trash and when the barrels are full I haul them out to a ditch on my property and dump them. The problem is the barrels are very heavy. I take them out with my tractor front end loader, but I have to dump them manually. I'm trying to come up with something that I could haul & dump with the FEL. You can't strap them to the fel because they won;t turn enough to dump. I use round barrels now, but i,m open for ideas. I,ve done a search and not found anything on this. I've been trying to come up with an idea on this, I thought maybe you guys had some ideas on this. By the way, there are no public landfills around here.

I hope your barrels are metal? weld some hooks on the bottom, opposing each other and put a chain to the bottom, hook chain and lift and barrel will dump

That is a good idea, I had been welding hand holds to the bottom rim. DIdn't think about the chain. That would certainly be the easiest way to go, also should be effective. Thanks

Just remember not to pack the barrels tight like I would to get more in

1*== ==I don't let the barrel get full and I haul the trash not the barrel
2*Mine hain't because I don't let it get full.
3*I don't take the barrel anywhere just the trash in the bucket.
Dumps real easy out of the bucket without the barrel to fool around with.
4*Don't take the trash in the barrel and you won't have to fuss with it.
5*I've posted about this a time or so.
6*I've described how I set up my trash barrel and how I empty it a few times on the board.

Obviously you haven't cut the bottoms out of the barrels.
You don't want bottoms in burning barrels because they cause the problem you're having with dumping them.

Puttin' holes in the barrel is easy. It's a good excuse to empty a 30 rounder from the ol' AR-15.

I like to cut a 1' high by 2' wide rectangular port in the side of my burn barrel, way down low. I then put rebar thru the drum. Now a grate on top of the rebar. The ash goes thru. Then put the ash in a bucket and get rid of it. The barrels last way longer 'cause the rainwater ain't sittin' in the bottom doin' a Chevy impersonation. Rustin' away.

Yes! Yes! and Yes! After a few years of digging half burned paper, etc out of my barrel to put in the trash I finally got wise.

Set up a "U" of two rows of 8x16" block, laid some angles across, cut the bottom out of the barrel and fired it up. Burns like a blow torch and all the ashes just shovel out from the open "U". Does use up barrels - about 1 every two years...well it did until the State of WA put a bounty on people using them. They pay people to rat you out so mine is no longer in use except 1 time per year to burn up accumulated yard trash and gift wrapping - usually done right after Christmas on a foggy day (I'm right on the highway).

I gaurantee that anyone who burns once with an open ended barrel with never go back to the other way.

My dad should have been a lawyer. When they outlawed open burning, they left in that you can have a fire for cooking, camping etc. He dropped a couple oaks killed by wilt, piled up the brush and lit it off. Neighbors called the cops (3 blocks from the station!), they came out and started in on him. He then pointed to the sticks sitting 20' from the fire, one with a marshmallow and one with a hotdog. They left.

So I shouldn't mention I used my tractor to help my neighbor dump his barrel this weekend?

What was that number by the way?
