Default landscaped islands/berms...

I'm trying to get some ideas for landscaping. I'd like to build some slightly raised areas and display an antique plow, dump rake, or sicklebar mower. I've attached a photo for a starting point; but it is not elevated.

Here are a couple photos of what I've put together....Will update later when I've done some planting. I plan on putting an antique piece of farm equipment on the top and would like to plant a few clumps of pampus grass infront of/around the power box to conceal it.

Looks good, Beavis.

My only thought is "why even use the brick/stone"......? Why not just pile the dirt, level it off, and pull your old piece up on it?

I'm no expert, but I don't think that tractor qualifies as an antique just yet

Looks great!

Well, I'm making progress. I still plan on doing some more planting and I have a few LARGE sandstone rocks that I will set, but this is kinda the "look" I was after.

I have done these things in the past and suggest you consider putting down landscape fabric at the ends to keep the weeds down. Just helps with the maint. end of things and keeps it looking the way you wanted. My two cents...

Looks great. I like the little rock detail outlining the base. Man, the land id flat there... do you get dizzy at that higher elevation...!
