Hi, need some advice on my new road and airstrip, sorry the pictures are still on site, will add later, The last 2 weeks had a new driveway to our house aprox 1000 feet, it is crowned with ditches each side, the drive is 24 feet wide, ditches are 30 feet wide, also added a airstrip 1800 foot long and 60 feet wide, at this time no weeds but want to grass them, what is the best mix, my location is Saskatchewan Canada, I plan on using the drag behind the tractor to smoothe it out, after spreading the seed should it be dragged again, I will be dragging with a diamond shape steel device that has teeth under it, not sure the name, found lots of them in the bush
Thanks in advance Laurence

I would believe those are as we called them "Diamond Harrows".
You may want to check in with your local seed supplier to find which grasses would be most suitable for your application. I'd assume it would be a type of high usage lawn mix as again I'd assume you will keep it mowed. Spread your seed, harrow and then hope for some nice planting rain and warm sprouting weather. ![]()
