Been spending so much time read TBN, thought I would take some time and post a project... One of the first projects I did when I got the land was to make a road to get close to the creek. This past wk/ed, I extended the road down to the creek. The before photos did not really capture how steep the slope was. A car could not make it down there... now it can.
Used my L2800 w/FEL, a 6' foot BB... it took 11 tractor hours, 2 days and a 1/2 case of beer... ran into lots of rock, roots and moving lots of dirt from the high side to the low side to make the slope less steep. An average of 2 to 3 feet of fill on the low side.

Looks great teg. I have a similar project I'd like to do once I get a bit more familiar with my BX24 (first tractor) and get a box blade. To level out the slope do you have one side of the BB lower and make several passes ?

I did have to adjust it, I planned ahead to do most of the cutting first. Then leveled it out for most of the rest of it. It takes a little time but I got time (just don't have $$$ for TnT). I moved a lot of dirt with the FEL, load it up first, then drag the BB to where I wanted the dirt.

teg, man, that is great! Flathead is right - definitely givin' us idears all right... look out my woods... no creek to go to, creek is another 100 yards across neighbors land... but, maybe I can make a shortcut to his shop! He made a real man cave a few years ago, and we hang out there doing all kinds of projects. That boy can make anything! I just hang around and help a little... now, road to his place... thanks teg!
