The concrete work went well, 14 yard pour for three of us. Power screed worked fantastic, and so did the power trowel. It gives the floor a real nice finish. I plan to use an epoxy coating to take the slip out of the floor and to protect it from oil/grease.

I also had some concrete to make a ballast weight for the 3pt. I used some boxes styro boxes from work, a 3pt bar and some scrap rebar. Anyone guess how much it weighs? The styro box is 3.5 inces thick on the bottom and 1.5 on top.

Now that the concrete has set up well it was poured on friday, and i did the framing tuesday, here is my progress.

I splurged and got a pneumatic palm nailer to do the joist hangers, and wow what a differance from swinging the hammer. I just found my new fav tool next to my tractor and sawzall.

There is a pit about a mile from my house, so it was $150 a 12 yard dump load. I think that was very reasonable for 6" - gravel.

Here are some pics of the trusses that i put together for the loft roof. I used a good sized metal tie plate on both sides and a plywood plate over that on one side.
