I think I'm going to avoid those frosty beverages. They can get you into all sorts of projects!!!!!!!!!

I have a walkway on my list too. It goes from my porch to my hot tub. I'm kind of stalling on it, but sooner or later, I'll have to get to it.

Nice job, I think a winding walkway has allot more character then a straight one.

As for Marley he is pretty intlligent...failry protective..and he follows me everywhere. No matter what project I am working on around the house he has to be in my immediate location. Only stepped on him a couple times though. The best way to explain his personality is probably how my FIL describes him. You remember that jed clampit dog that just laid on the porch? That our Marley!

Thanks for the compliments guys...I finished the grading and put down some stone for the patio behind the garage last night. We are supposed to get some rain so with all the clay we have I needed some stone down before it turned into a mud pit.

As for the sidewalk..yes curvy does look better but:

walkway + curvey = looks better, however
walkway + curvey = tons of cuts.

But its just time right? BTW the whole thing cost me about 900 bucks. It helped out that my buddy had a plate compactor that I borrowed.

The curves make it professional anybody can do it straight.
looks great nice job, did you use stone dust or sand after your base?
I bought my wet saw for $199 from harborfreight.com --love it it already paid for it self the dimond blade cost $39 -10" and the 7" blade on sale for $9.99

Keep it on your back burner, if you ever decide to do a patio with your new found talent am sure relatives will be asking you to do it.

That's a dandy of a sidewalk! I won't let my wife see it or she'll start getting landscaping ideas again....

Frank...I got a fatboy there that gets lots of use with the current price gas prices. The other is my wife's nightster....she started riding this summer. Its been great having a wife that rides.

Just got back from Lowes and picked up some more wall pavers. I'm trying to hide the buried propane "trash can" that is in the back yard. I'm going to finish a little planter area by it tomorrow so that wife can hide it with flowers or something of the like. Man that construction adhesive is great.

Also Lowes has those Kobalt 26 gallon air compressors on sale with a kit of tools for like 239 right now. The aren't the highest quality but for the price I couldn't pass it up. Besides the tractor tire was low and now I can fill it up without driving over to the neighbor's house.

I forgot to attach them to the last post but here are some pics of the finished walkway with most of the mulch down and some plants in. Stil lots of plants left to do. Also a couple pics of the excavation done and getting raked out for the small patio behind the garage. I swear the dog loves to be in pictures or something.

LOL ... much easier after a bunch of those frosty beverages.
The more beverages, the more curvey, right?
Nice place and great job you've done.

I tip my frosty beverage to you on a job well done with the walkway! That's something you can admire and be proud of each time you walk to or from the house. Looking forward to seeing what the patio will be.

And by the way...THANK YOU for your active service as a Marine!
