Well, I'm not sure where to start.
My wife and I are trying to build a house in the WNC mountains.
The process has been plagued with problems.
And getting my tractor up there to open up our miles of trails (leftover from logging on the property before we purchased it) . . . has also been quite the ordeal.
But I was finally able to get things moving again.
I only got to spend a couple of hours behind the wheel, but the results were very gratifying.
There's one system of trails that I have been unable to access before. The tree and briar growth was just too thick to get my ATV through it all.
These pics are from about an hour's worth or work: one mulching trip up and then mulching on the trip back down. I covered about 200 yards of trail.
Next time I'm up there with more fuel, I'll widen the path some more.
Basically what it looked like before:
With bigger trees here and there.
What it looks like now:
Getting used to this tractor on uneven terrain, especially with such a heavy implement, is keeping my pace pretty slow. But this setup is gonna ROCK for opening the trails back up. I'll need my neighbor to help out with his excavator every now and again, but . . . . this is gonna be great!
