I recently (last Thursday) took delivery of my New Holland T2320 (45hp) tractor, upgrading from a TZ24DA (24hp). Knowing the new tractor was coming, along with the birth of my first child at the end of August, I knew I needed to give the tractor its own home (the other tractor fit in the garage with both vehicles), as well as clear some things out of my attached 2.5 car garage so we could maneuver through it with all of the things that come along with a baby.
So, I decided on a 20x20 shed/mini barn, with a loft for additional storage. I had the trusses engineered to clear the span (Gable roof, 12/12 pitch), which were delivered last week. I wanted a gable roof, rather than a gambrel because I like the way they look, and the steep pitch has always been attractive to me. This past weekend, I started on the shed.
Friday night, the site was excavated, and I moved the topsoil (what little there is on the building site) out of the way.
