Hi,

I found these while cleaning out the shed at the end of the barn to make room for dairy goats arriving this spring (and I'll have to build them a better barn this summer, project time...)

Anybody have any idea what these are?

Thanks,
Daniel

window weights would be my guess.

I don't think so, they're way too light for sash weights. It's hard to see in the photo - the handles are wood, the loop at the end is metal. A few ounces each would be my guess.

Some sort of tool, but for what? They could be as much as 80 years old, that's how long we've owned the barn - but I guess they could have been there when we bought it too,

nunchucks?
or could they have been used for twisting twine together to make a rope?

Looks like handles from a scythe or other hand tool.

Do the loops tighten if you turn the handles? Handles for a cross cut saw.
