I've been in the same situations, ONE time! the next drive I cut, and the following many drives, I got a John Deere 450 dozer. It is faster, and much SAFER!

While not on a slope, I've been cutting my property/fence lines and making the clearing a new road with my JD FEL w/Gannon box. I have to admit I have done more than I thought I could and have a long way to go to finish.
That being said, I just bought a JD450 with 6 way blade and I think my production is about to improve significantly.
Use a plow and just plow a few furrows running the same way and then grade with a road blade. Faster and easier than most other ways. I saw my dad do that and put in a road about 75 yd long in a few hr. Ed
