Picture #11: Partial Stone wall

Here is the stone wall half way complete. To give some perspective, my 3.5 year old son is in the picture and he is 3.5 feet tall.

Picture 13: A view from the bottom

Here is a picture of the stone wall taken from the bottom of the pond. The pond is 13 feet deep with one pit that is 16 feet. Oh it has some shallow areas too!

Picture 14: Looking up the side

I have always found it difficult looking at others pictures of their pond construction to get a sense for the depth. Here I am looking up at my 2 year old daughter. This should be enough water.

Picture 16: Last for now

Looking across my hole --- pond this evening. Still need to get more rocks tomorrow am before the rain. Next week I will work on the beach. 10+ tons of pea gravel on geotextile fabric with 10+ tons of sand on top. Should be nice when full.

I welcome any questions, or observations you all might have.
Best and thanks for viewing,
Larry

Re: Picture 16: Last for now

Larry

Very impressive. I like the site with the house overlooking the water.

I enjoy looking out over my ponds. There is always something happening to watch.

Let us know how long it takes to fill. My big pond is now 24 feet deep (was 30' ten years ago) and is also only bottom spring fed.

Any plans for fish? Chesk out Pondboss.com if you don't know about it already. Helpful folks on that board also.

This is a scan of my big pond down in Sullivan County. Best of luck with yours.

Mike
