I first used this stuff last year on a flip house and really like the way it looks. But the best part is the ease of installation. We have company inbound, so I decided to floor half of the basement, then wall off a bedroom. I installed 700ish sq feet of Allure in about 5 hours by myself. Walls go up today.
$1.56 a sq ft at Home Desperate:

Once you get set up, you can run two rows at the same time:

A tape measure, pencil, straight edge and a box cutter with a sharp blade is all you need. No underlayment needed, completly free floating and waterproof:

A chimpanzee coud install this stuff....which is why I am able to get it done....ok I admit, I am more of an Orangutang:D

I did a small casino in that vinyl plank, including the bar. Most cannot tell it from real wood.

MotorSeven i have some basement flooring to do soon, and i like that this product
won't get ruined by some water.
my basement has pressure treated plywood glued/screwed to the concrete floor,
and even though it should be rigid there are some places that the plywood must not
be tight to the floor so sometimes you feel a little give to the floor.. i wonder if this
product will be ok to use over that plywood? do you think a little flex will bother it?

nice job btw!

Dutch...slap it right down, it has plenty of flex so I don't think you will have a problem.

Dutch I shot this for you....bend it all the way, then it goes right back flat with no problem:

If it has any drawbacks it is the weight....the stuff is HEAVY. Also, the boxes they are packaged in are slick. I mean I swear I think they wax them at the plant like a surfboard. I know this because heavy tall boxes will launch right off the back of a flatbed on a moderate incline even though they were wrapped in plastic and strapped down.

Yep, we've used this flooring on several projects, including the front porch at our fishing camp. So far it has held up great, even outdoors where it is not intended.

Is this something you would put in your living room as we have a 95 lb. dog and would like a vinyl floor as it is water proof and hopefully scratch resistant . We put down a wood laminate in the bedroom and that will scratch but looks very nice , just have to keep the dog off it .

It's tough stuff. You just need a clean flat surface and make sure you prime the floor first with there primer.
