Nice build...
Need more photos when you finish...
Did you build it yourself or contract?
How was the county to deal with?
Was a permit required?

I had no issues with the town. The building inspector asked me to make sure I used a 2x2 cement footing and attach each post with a cable in case of extreme uplift. No other issues. It is 39x60 with 17 foot ceilings. I plan to put in 14x14 doors next spring. Cement floor coming in a few weeks. I will also add a 36" passenger walk thru door. Next year a car lift as well I hope! I did build it myself with the help of my teenagers and friends. Yes I did get a permit that cost about $500!:dance1::laughing:

That's a nice size building. Should be very useful. Teenagers with a car lift--heaven I bet. :D

High ceilings, tall doors, a concrete floor, and a car lift. You can't go wrong with that.

Very nice! What kind of wood did you use for the siding?

I used 12" ship lap from a local saw mill. 6x6 x20' posts 8 ft on center. Went up well as long as I kept them straight 😜

So free labor. What did the materials run you? Nice looking barn. I like the soffit details.
