    Default unknown engine. pony motor?

This is my first posting. I'm kinda lost. I found this engine at a salvage yard. Had to have it. Frozen up. Disassembled it. Just mainly time was its demise. Looking for advice on what it is and where I can find parts. I am trying to post pictures and hope someone can help out. I'm told its a pony motor.

    Welcome!

I don't know what you have there. If you google "Mayer Carburetors, Buffalo NY" there is info about them and what they were used on.

Went there first. Lead me to a model t. The plate on the side of the engine is blank. Has casting numbers GM57 ON IT. Is water cooled with no water pump. Thus the pony motor theory. Looks like a 1911 casting. Someone welded counter weights to the crank. Has me perplexed but so determined to hear it run
I'll keep posting as it progresses. Thanks

Early Cadilacs had a one cylinder engine. As did Ford.
