Welcome to my chop shop... time to start a thread on my family hauler truck build. The foundation of this build is the desire to haul my family in comfort and still be able to haul/tow.
I have recently (yesterday!) acquired a 2000 ford crew cab with motor issues, a good frame and decent body. I bought a stripped extended cab a few weeks ago that is also in decent shape, and like the crew cab, will need rocker panel repairs. Another truck, one that was center stage in another thread as I detailed a motor swap, will donate it's front frame section, motor/drivetrain, and rear interior/trim. Here's the other thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/projects/353163-f250-motor-swap-7-3-a.html
As with my other threads, this may take a while, as time permits, due to family, farm, and work obligations. But the wife is convinced that the kids will be grown and gone before I get it done, so why bother, we won't need it... big motivation, right? Guess I better get busy! No, wait... I already did, I got the rear seat and some trim removed from the CC earlier today!
The final outcome should be like the truck pictured below...
