Keeping character, or restoring a pond

One of the problems the client wanted solved was removing the unsightly propane tanks.

So he cut a deal with the supplier to replace the two five hundred tanks with a single thousand gallon buried one.

I agreed to help him prepare the site for the gas company.

Of course every solution has it's own problems. The first one was where we wanted to put a six feet wide, five foot deep, and twenty foot long hole for the new tank crossed the gas line to the house.

Client found a twenty five foot coil of new five eighths copper and spliced it in to give us digging room.

According to the weather guy last night we're in a drought. Normal years we've had thirty three inches plus by this time of the year. This year we've only had eighteen plus.

When we started trying to dig up the old gas line I realized how hard it was going to be. So I called a friend and he allowed me the use of one of their backhoes Saturday.

It made a hard job easier.

James Smith of TBN fame came by just in time. He called his wife and told her he would be late because he was going to help. Hmph! He just wanted to tomCat around.

He said it was his first time on a backhoe. Now I know a Cat is easier to run than just about anything else, but darn, he learned quick.

It's now ready for the gas company to make their switch over.

As you can see removing the tanks sure will clean up the view of the pond and deck. And the customer wants to put his Delorean out there on the rock deck, just for grins. With the tanks gone he can have a clear shot to drive it right out there.

Now let's have a test to see if you paid attention.

Who do you think had the most fun yesterday?

The client?
