I guess I wanted the experiece and didn't want to spend the 1500 bucks to have some one else to do it. I did finely rent a bobcat for the weekend to move the dirt faster while dad ran the bobcat. I took a week to do it. the size of the hole is about 55X28. finished at 26X50. about 7 days to do it. dad took over for 3 days while I was working.

The floor is in and some backfilling done and started getting the wall up on the walk out part yesterday. The Ijoist to be here monday. should have the decking on monday evening. My wife is looking forward to the addition. will keep you posted with the progress. Mark

Bluecarpenter, thanks for sharing the pictures. I dug for a little bit on my basement which I will dig this winter and figured it would take about 60 hours - looks like I estimated pretty close. What would you say is the percentage of work done with your FEL and what % with the BH?
