How big is hay bale?

I am adding a hay storage to existing barn and it will be basically a cube 10x10x8 feet - how many square bales is gonna fit there?

Somebody told me 16'x18"x48" - is it correct?

The bales vary in size. I have a 20x40 run in shed with one end boarded up that we store the hay in. It's about 20x10x10 plus the peak. We can usually get around 250 regular sized (60-80lbs) bales in there stacked to the roof.

i have to dissagree the essence of redneck is useing something as it wasnt intended.

he11 a pickup is supposed to haul stuff...

but 5 hay bales packed into a civic....

Only 54 on a CHEV dully. My old Ford F150 would hold 75 on average. We maxed out at 85 one trip. Never again...
