I've never seen another one like it. Friends have told me they were available at military post exchanges so military personnel would have a TV that would work worldwide. | When our very very old Phillips died, I got JVC multisystem TV on ebay. It is actually five years now, still works fine.

I got the feeling that the Visio isn't a bad model but it's the bottom of the model line and the step up to a Panasonic isn't a bad idea.
Either way it sounds as if the extended warranty is the piece of mind idea. I wouldn't be happy paying for the TV in the second year for free with a broken TV out of warranty.... |

| Re: Big screen TV Does anyone know for sure? I have heard that with plasma screens there are only one or two manufacture of the screen itself so all brands are using pretty much the same screen.

Thanks Bob | Good Afternoon Bob,
My wife bought me a 32" Vizio last Christmas for our Vt home, I am really happy with the TV ! We have the Dish network up there because there is no cable at that rural location. We have been 100% satisfied with that unit and would reccomend it to anyone !

| Re: Big screen TV My mom bought a 32" Visio from Wally world. I have 2 issues with it.
1) The paint has worn off almost all of the remote's buttons.
2) There is no button for adjusting how the video is displayed on the screen. Such as 4:3, Justified, Zoom, etc....
Her's is now about a year old. Hope the newer one's are better.

Im not sure about my Vizio remote, I allways use the Dish remote and hardly ever use the TV remote for anything other than playing a DVD. I will have to take a closer look at it the next time I use it !
