Ok, what' everyone's dream car? Personally I would prefer a 1969 Dodge Daytona with a 426 Hemi, 4 speed tranny, in either black or Plum Crazy Purple.

Good topic!

My all time favorite Jaguar XKS, also known as the "D Type". This was a racer built in the mid 50's. These cars won LeMans and many other races in their era. One of the neat things about them is they were (sometimes) driven on the road from race to race.

There's a British company that rebodies E Type Jags (XKE in the US) so they are basically D Types. These were called Lynx.

Second? Shelby Cobra...the 289 cid version, not the 427.

What you said Roy!!

Although, I'd be willing to take the 427 too! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif Like Tim the Tool Man says - "Aargh, Aargh, Aargh - more power!" /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

You can now buy a brand new crate hemi from Dodge. I've thought about finding a mid sixties stripper Chrysler product and building a one off factory racer. Maybe even a wagon. Those old wagons can't be beat for getting the power to the ground. Vinyl van seats, dog dish hubcaps, bland paint job, etc. A 500 c.i. Cadillac engine in an old Chevy or GMC pickup would be fun, also.

Um, how deep are your pockets?? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.mopartsracing.com/parts/blocks.html>528 HEMI-610 horsepower V8 crate motor</A> for <font color=red>$14,200</font color=red>

The 'plain, old' 426 ci/465 hp is only $10,500.

Just want a wedge motor? 500 ci/575 hp is $8,700

In all cases, the carb and headers are extra.

1957 chevy, convertible, preferably the light blue color that was so popular then or red; or second a 1955 or 56 corvette, but i would muuuuuuuch prefer the 57 chevy, a much more comfortable ride ..
