Default Cruisin The Coast

Just trying to find out if any TBN guys will be going to Cruisin The Coast, and if so what days. We will be heading up there Thursday. We couldn't find a place to stay so say we are staying in the van.

If you are going let me know, would love to meet some of ya'll and put a face to the name.

For those of you who don't know what crusin the coast is, . . . well it's just awesome. There will be Thousands yes thousands of clasic cars on the Mississippi Gulf Coast next week for one heck of a show. There will be everything from Model A's to Twin Turbo zo6 vets, cars from the 50,60,70's, any thing you can think of will be there.

here's a link
Cruisin' The Coast

This will be the 11th time i've gone to cruisin the coast, and a lot has changed after hurricane Kartrina. But the Good people of Mississippi took it upon them selves to clean up and rebuild and i think they are and have done one heck of a job. I say the good people because they didn't wait for a government hand out, they didn't ask who was going to clean up the mess, they didn't ask who was going to pay for all the damage, they the people got off their butts, put on their boots and took care of business.
This will be my first time down hwy 90 sense last year and i can't wait to see how much it's changed.

The Casino's have opened, the beaches are open (and if ya'll didn't know that is the largest man made beach in America) the gift shops are open, as are a lot of restaurants, bars, shopping centers ant the mall. There are many new homes and condos. the thing i miss the most is all the old historic trees that lined the hwy.

if your into cars, and have some free time i strongly urge you to take a trip down south and check it out, you will be amazed at what you will see.

Hey Bri, . . . is that on "every" year? Its too late for us this year but we love that Gulfport area and love the cars, (used to own a Model-A among others) and would plan for next year perhaps if its an annual?

Thanks,
. . tug

yes this is an annual event the second week in october every year for the last 13.

the event started october 4th but it really doesn't get going till thursday or friday. There are no fees to watch and there are no fees to "cruise" but if you want to be judged, do the check points, and get the stickers t-shirt and other goodies you need to register, it 50 to 75 dollars. it also gets you vip parking.

if you want to go book a hotel early, or bring an rv

would love to see ya there
Brian
