Default Mike Rowe: Lamb Castration, PETA, and American Labor

This is a really good video. It's twenty minutes long but worth watching.

Mike Rowe, the Dirty Jobs guy, talks about work and how many look at it the wrong way.

Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe on Lamb Castration, PETA, and American Labor

My favorite quote came when he was talking with a crab boat captain on the Bering sea: "OSHA? No, it's OCEAN". Good stuff.

I have been watching dirty jobs since it first came on tv. Over the seasons you get little glimpses of how intelligent he is, but I never knew. He really seems to be a great guy, and his explanation of why the castration of the sheep was done in this particular manner, made so much sense. I will say that that particular episode was very hard to watch as a man thou.

Thats a great lecture. Lots of good points there.

It really was an insight into Mike's character. He's both educated and humble. Dirty Jobs is obviously more than a TV show to him, more like a metaphor for whats wrong in both the US and Canada today. I especially like his comments about the "War on Work". Very accurate.

He did a segment about hog farming in Iowa with my cousin. Good show.

"Real Jobs" probably fits better, although I expect more folks to tune in to the present title. My thanks to all who put their "blood, sweat, and tears" into these jobs and thanks Mr. Rowe !

It's a fun show to watch. I always figured he was more of a goof ball than what his lecture shows.

His War on Work gives food for thought.

Thanks.
Dave.
