Oh so true!!! ...couldn't drive a shopping cart, or a wheel barrow, or even a freekin nail !!! And it is us poor victims who must suffer and pay!

Since this is venting,...I front on a main highway and mow and trim and try to keep five hundred feet of frontage lawns, looking nice. On down the highway some do that and many don't bother, so tell me WHY,.... some "people" feel they absolutely must pull over and stop in front of "my" place,...to dump their ashtray, toss out their pizza and burger wrappers and coffee cups etc and in general just plain clean out their car all over my front lawn????? (worse than GGRRRRR!!!!)

"IF"..you could just run over it with the mower and make it disappear fine,...but NO!! You must stop the tractor, idle down, disengage the PTO, remove your headphone music, put your drink in the holder,...get out with a garbage bag and go around bending down, picking it all up piece by piece rather than turning it into confetti all over the place!!!!! GEEEEEZE!!

OH if only I could catch the idiot, I'd save my trash and garbage and all the messy stuff for a month and visit their front lawn one night,.....and perhaps even do the old poop in a paper bag, set it afire on the doorstep, ring the bell and depart!!!

Well there Jimmy,....I feel a "little" better,...sorry about your tailgate,....and all this right after our great Cdn Thanksgiving,....ah well,...chins up!

and yeah, sure,..CHEERS!

If I am just taking the wife for something, I grab a seat nearby and watch to see what happens when they get to their vehicle and can't get in due to it being too close to get in, much less open the door. Kind of fun to watch somebody with a console have to crawl across it to get to the drivers seat. I had one call a police and wanted it towed, but didn't get their wish due to the police officer having some sense. I stood by as an onlooker, not identifying myself as the owner until after they crawled thru the car to get out. Then I opened my door and picked up something off the seat and closed the door. I also write down the tag number or just take a photo of it before I leave it.

So then you are guilty of improper parking same as him.

Dave.
You know on my one and only visit Alameda Naval Air Station about 12 years ago when I was on active duty I got yelled at by this retired Navy Captain...
He told me in no uncertain words that only a young dumb Jarhead of a Marine could drive a grocery cart in such a foul way in the base commisary....
then he told me the red arrows on the floor were for grocery carts.....

And yes, he introduced himself as Captain (named removed to protect the senile), US Navy Retired.

everyone nearby chuckled... and a Commander in uniform said not to worry, he even did that to an Admiral's wife recently.....

And so I guess I fit the can't drive a shopping cart comment.. Well at least in that one instance.......

I now return you to your normal evening......

That's a good one. I imagine a Ret. Captain could be pretty crusty. I have to say middle-aged men following their wives around are about the most clueless when it comes to grocery carts. They never seem to catch on that two people and a cart can bring the entire aisle to a halt. Guys shopping alone seem to do better.

Now, if I could get our local store to put some red arrows on the floor
Dave.

Crusty--- hmm... I would say he had passed crusty about 10 years BEFORE I "met" him... I would guess somewhere in the late 60's... cane was in the cart, and I can't remember what else at this moment.... but the wife just knew he was old...

I worked at a NATO (No Action, Talk Only) bunker in Germany for 9+ years as a civilian contractor. We civilians missed most of the bad brow beating, but I can imagine. I did have a full Col. (Army) give me he** once because I couldn't make his terminals run faster than their designed speed. He was just sure if he commanded it, it would happen.

This is the second time in 10 minutes I have gotten chuckles out of a thread reply...

It will be definately interesting in the coming months as a business partner won a contract with a Marine base project. and I got tapped to help them since I used to work at that base and even with that team a few years back....

It will be interesting to see what happens and if the old guard attitudes transfered to the younger generation..

Later,
J

Does it justify somebody to park straddle of the line simply because the first party did it.
That's 2 tickets for 2 like violations.

I take the time to park correctly. I expect others to do the same.

Someone parking outside the lines, on purpose, annoys me. If their vehicle is sooo "precious" that they feel the need to park in that manner, then maybe they should just leave it home, or park at the rear of the lot.
