There is one very short maybe 10" log that he presents to the splitter in a vertical position.

Yep, he is making small wood, maybe they use it in a cookstove or something with a small firebox. It's dangerous for sure, probably give an OSHA inspector an instant heart attack

or whiplash trying to get his forms out
