ok.. my vista pc opens jar files.. but my xp netbook doesn't know what to do with them.. I look on vista, and it says the file is associated with java platform SE binary.

any place I can download this from for my xp netbook?

thanks

did you try this?

Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems

it will scan the system to see what Java is installed witha link to upgrade...

Also, you should be able to open .jar files with WinZip or other "zip"archiving tool...
