Yep! Gas prices can go up by 20 cents overnight, but if they go down by 20 cents in one night, it's probably due to numbers falling off the sign in a windstorm.;)

:laughing::laughing: SOOO true.

Last night I had to get Diesel after work, $4.95. Regular was posted at $3.99, so it hasn't changed in the little town of Springtown TX, but they are usually up faster and slow to to drop here too.

A little cheaper as I drove through Dallas up to Allen, but like Bird noted, only by penny's.

Dennis, I filled both of our vehicles with the $3.799 gas at a Circle K. The 2 QuikTrips in the area were the same price, but I was running around in Lewisville and noticed other stations are still from $3.839 to $3.899.

I went out to lake Bridgeport yesterday afternoon, I stopped at the new Brookshires on HWY 380. Regular was $3.80, not to bad compared to the rest at $3.90's

Funny how crude goes up and the price at the pump goes up right away, not like there was a higher price delivery or something but crude has a ten dollar drop and diesel goes up .04 ! Instead of handing out $120 million bonuses they should stick a few oil exectutives in the pokey for price fixing/ gouging !

They've had so many years of experience at "setting prices" that they know how to set prices without going to jail. All they have to do is watch how the next guy sets his price and then adjust theirs up. So long as they don't meet and come up with an agreement, it's not price fixing.

My rough translation of the OP is the increase in gas prices stalled out the recovery so they are backing off again before they resume seeing how much they can squeeze out of consumers. Presumably, they want to shear the sheep as close as they can--not kill it.

Well, we have a 4 cent decrease after almost a week. Right direction but slow getting there.

I have to buy since I haul my own equipment to jobs, but I shop around and will patronize the places I feel try to be competitive.

News is reporting that prices will likely "drop" to just $3.50 gallon by July.

Hmmm.....wasn''t the price less than $3.00 per gallon just a few weeks ago?

Oil went down last week big time and diesel has stayed at $4.19/gal the entire time. Gas did go down to $3.99/gal it was $4.04. I don't see too much economic recovery when gas/diesel is $4.00/gal.
