Everyone has a photographic memory.
Some don't have film!

Diplomacy is saying "nice doggy"
until you find a rock.

He just got lost in thought.
It was unfamiliar territory.

Seen it all, done it all,
can't remember most of it.

Those who live by the sword,
get shot by those who don't.

He who laughs last, thinks slowest.

She didn't get hit with an ugly stick.
The whole darn tree fell on her.

He's so full of sh** his eyes are brown.

"Some people live their entire lifetime and wonder if they ever made a difference to the world. Marines don't have that problem."
President Ronald Reagan - September 23, 1983

"There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines:
Marines and the enemy.
Everyone else has a second-hand opinion."
Gen. William Thornson, U.S. Army

Another "farm" spin on that same theme:
You couldn't hit a bull in the but with both hands.

If you ever saw a malnourished horse, this is more meaningful:

"You got more mouth that a poor horse has got a**"

"If you hit me and I notice, you're done."

"I'll take that!"
"If you get it, you'll have to take it."

"If you convince a fool against his will, the fool will believe the same thing still."

THAT's where that quote came from. I had heard it switched around to refer to firefighters or EMT's. It makes sense that it came from somewhere else.

One of my favorites!!!

I didn't realize how true that statement was until I had to work with a guest chef who didn't understand that. We chased our tails around for three days over marginal improvements. In the end we killed the project because he had defined the target so strictly that there was no way to accomplish it.
